To provide a natural product-derived antioxidative stress agent that accelerates ARE enhancer activities in an Nrf2/ARE path participating in oxidative stress thereby inducing expression of an antioxidative enzyme to ameliorate oxidative stress, and to provide foods and cosmetics.
The antioxidative stress agent comprises at least any one of Citrus extract, Cimicifuga racemosa extract, Matricaria chamomilla extract, Glycyrrhiza glabra extract, Vaccinium myrtillus extract, Smallanthus sonchifolius extract, Andrographis paniculata extract, Cassia fistula extract, Andrographis paniculata extract, Cynara scolymus extract, Mikania Glomerata extract, Cassia Auriculata extract, Ficus benghalensis extract, Scoparia dulcis extract and Eucalyptus globulus extract, each accelerating ARE enhancer activities in an Nrf2/ARE path participating in oxidative stress to induce expression of an antioxidative enzyme. There are also provided foods and cosmetics comprising the antioxidative stress agent.
