To provide an antireflection with a sufficient defect-freeness, a polarizing plate obtained by using such an antireflection film, and a liquid crystal display with the antireflection film or the polarizing plate.
The antireflection film has at least one hard coat layer and an outermost low refractive index layer on a transparent support. (a) A center line average roughness Ra of a surface of the above optical film is ≤0.15μm. (b) The hard coat layer contains one or more kinds of large size particles. (c) An average particle diameter of the large size particles is ≥80% of the thickness of the hard coat layer, and a cut point value (CP value) of coarse particles included in the large size particles is less than 4 times the thickness of the hard coat layer.
