Abstract:
To obtain a composition having stable and sufficient antiseptic effect by formulating a specified amount of chlorhexidine gluconate in an aqueous composition containing a specific medicinal agent.
This antiseptic composition is obtained by including (A) pref. 0.001-5 wt.% of at least one compound selected from hyaluronic acid, cromoglycic acid, flavinadeninedinucleotide and salts thereof and (B) pref. 0.001-0.05 wt.% of chlorhexidine gluconate so as not to form any insoluble conjugate. This composition is useful, in particular, as a local liquid agent for external use, furthermore, as an eye drop, ear drop, or nasal drop.
