Title:
ANTISEPTICIZING METHOD OF WOOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0825311
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To employ glued laminated wood, which is laminating a plurality of sawn boards to one another through an adhesive, as wood and modified creosote oil, which is obtained by further redistilling the creosote oil obtained by fractionally distilling coal tar, as antiseptic so as to obtain excellent antiseptic effect without swelling.

CONSTITUTION: The antisepticizing method of wood for fircibly impregnating the wood with antiseptic is performed by pressurizing the interior of a pressure vessel, which is charged with the antiseptic, under the condition that the wood is installed in the pressure vessel. As the wood, glued laminated wood, which is produced by laminating a plurality of sawn boards to one another through adhesive, is employed. Further, as the antiseptic, modified creosote oil, the boiling point of which is brought into the range of 200-300°C by redistilling creosote oil, is employed. The creosote oil is obtained by removing acid component through alkali extraction from naphthalene oil, which is obtained by distilling coal tar by-produced during the manufacturing of coke by means of the carbonization of coal at ordinary pressure or under reduced pressure, so-called washing oil, which is the fraction within the boiling point range of 200-300°C, and further, removing naphthalene by distillation from the oils.
