PURPOSE: To obtain a braking effect on an icy or snowy road surface, and to prevent the road surface shaving on an asphalt road surface, by planting hair form synthetic fibers of a soft material and slender form over the running surface of a rubber tire.

CONSTITUTION: In the grooves of the running surface 1 of a studless tire, hair form synthetic fibers 2 of a soft material and slender form are planted. As the soft material, a super fiber which has an excellent superhigh strength, antiabrasive property, high heat resistance, antimedicine property, water repelleny property, and the like, is used. Consequently, an excellent braking effect on a snowy or icy road surface is obtained, a traffic accident owing to a slip is reduced, a road surface shaving on an asphalt road surface is not generated, and a sufficient durability can be obtained.
