PURPOSE: To provide a device for releasably attaching an antiskid device to the rim of a motor vehicle wheel by which the antiskid device can be attached to as many as possible wheel rims and its overall height is reduced.

CONSTITUTION: An antiskid device attaching device has a base disc 1 and a disc-shaped bearing member forming an annular gap 20. A central opening 2 of the base disc 1 receives a central projection 6 of a supporting member 7. The projection 6 is releasably retained in the opening 2 and secured in the attached position by a latching member 11 which locks the releasable connection.
