Abstract:

To provide an antistatic agent for a coating resin, which is soluble in an organic solvent and can be added in an organic solvent base to a coating resin to give a fine antistatic coating film; and also to provide a coating resin composition.

The antistatic agent for a coating resin contains a compound represented by formula (I). The coating composition comprises the antistatic agent, a coating resin, and an organic solvent. In the formula, R is an 8-22C alkyl group; A is a 2-4C alkylene group; n is an integer of 1-30; and R1, R2and R3each represents a 1-18C alkyl group or a 1-3C hydroxyalkyl group, provided that at least one is a 1-3C hydroxyalkyl group.
