Title:
ANTISTATIC METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04166271
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a coating film excellent in antistatic effect and resistance to UV ray and chemicals by forming plural coating film layers each contg. a different conductive metal oxide.

CONSTITUTION: At least two layers, e.g. the undercoat and overcoat, are formed on a material to be coated, and a different conductive metal oxide is incorporated in each layer. The conductivity of the overcoat is preferably made lower than that of the undercoat. A conductive titanium compd. and/or conductive tin oxide are used as the conductive materials for the undercoat. When either material is used, the content is preferably controlled to 15-25wt.%, and the contents are adjusted to 5-40wt.% when both materials are used. A zinc oxide compd. is used as the conductive material for the overcoat, and its content is preferably controlled to 20-40wt.%. The surface resistivity of the dried coating film is adjusted to 1×104-1×1010Ω/square from the standpoint of the antistatic characteristic.
