Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the fiber having excellent washing durability and process- passability by dispersing a non-randomly copolymerized polyoxyethylene-based polyether in an aromatic polyester matrix containing an organic metal salt in a specific dispersion state.
CONSTITUTION: An aromatic polyester matrix is incorporated with (A) 0.5-2.0wt.% of a non-randomly copolymerized polyoxyethylene-based polyether having an average molecular weight of 5,000-16,000 and expressed by formula (Z is organic compound residue containing 1-6 active hydrogen atoms and having a molecular weight of ≤300; R1 is ≥6C alkylene, etc.; R2 is H, 1-40C univalent hydrocarbon group, etc.; (k) is integer of 1-6; (n) is integer to satisfy k×n≥70; (m) is integer of ≥2) and (B) 0.1-1.0wt.% of an organic metal salt. The component A is dispersed in the form of a strings continuing in the fiber axis direction to form islands on the cross-section of the fiber. The island components satisfy the formula N50g/N10≥0.2 wherein N50 and N10 are number of the island components having diameter of ≥50nm and ≥10nm, respectively.
