To obtain an antistatic resin composition having improved permanence of antistatic properties and improved mechanical strengths by mixing a specified antistatic agent with a thermoplastic resin.
10-90wt.% polyoxyalkylene glycol (A) having a number-average molecular weight of 200-20,000 is reacted with 1-38wt.% 2-4C alkylene glycol (B) and 9-75wt.% alkylene diisocyanate (C) in such amounts that the ratio NCO /OH is 0.5-1.5 (wherein NCO is the number of the NCO groups of component A, and OH is the total number of the OH groups of components A and B) to obtain an antistatic agent comprising a polyether urethane having a number- average molecular weight of 5,000-500,000 (in terms of the reference polystyrene as measured by gel permeation chromatography). A thermoplastic resin is mixed with 1-30wt.% this agent.
