PURPOSE: To provide a peptide having high inhibitory action on the coagulation of blood and suitable for the use as pharmaceuticals or a material for forming medical tools having antithrombotic property and to provide an antithrombotic medical tool holding the peptide in immobilized state.
CONSTITUTION: This peptide is expressed by the general formula HXTyrGlnCysGlnProLeuAsnGlnThrSerTyrLeuCys-ValCysAlaGluGlyPheAlaYZ (X and Y are each single bond or a single amino acid selected from Arg, Lys, Asn, Asp, Gln, Glu, His, Gly, Ile, Pro, Ala and Ser or a peptide fragment having 2-10 residues and containing the amino acid as constituent component; Z is OH or amino group). The invention also relates to an antithrombotic medical tool holding the peptide in immobilized state.
