Abstract:
PURPOSE: An antitumor agent containing diterpene as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: An antitumor agent having excellent effect to inhibit the proliferation of Hela cell (a cell strain separated from human cervical carcinoma tissue) can be prepared by using the diterpene of formula (R1 is H or methyl; R2 is H or methyl) as an active component. It is administered by intravenous injection, subcutaneous injection, oral administration in the form of capsule, etc. The agent for injection or instillation is provided as a capsule containing unit dose or in bulk together with an antiseptic. For oral administration, it is preferable to use the agent in the form suitable for the absorption through the intestines, e.g. capsule, etc.
