To provide an aperture blade in which the cost is reduced by reducing the number of processes, and to provide a method of manufacturing the aperture blade.
In this aperture blade 11, a blade substrate 14, a rocking shaft 15, an engaging section 16, and a rib 17 are formed integrally. The rocking shaft 15 and the engaging section 16 are formed so as to project by about a half the thickness T to the blade substrate 14. The rib 17 projects from the surface on the opposite side to the rocking shaft 15, and improves the slidability of the blade substrate 14. When the aperture blade 11 is manufactured, a sheet metal is pressed and is subjected to half blanking processing, thereby simultaneously forming the rocking shaft 15, the engaging section 16, and the rib 17.
