To provide collecting efficiency and the quality of a preparation when plasma, red blood cells, and platelets are separately collected simultaneously.
Additional blood is drawn after the end of a surge step. The additional blood is drawn, as the additional blood collection in a draw step, by supplying a centrifugal bowl CB1 with the anticoagulated whole blood from an inlet port PT1 through a tube T3 and a tube T4 by a pump P1. After the additional blood is drawn, for example in a protocol for simultaneously collecting the plasma and platelets, the platelets suspended in the plasma in a container B3 and the plasma in a container B2 are separately collected as the preparation. In a protocol for simultaneously collecting the red blood cells and platelets, the platelets suspended in the plasma in the container B3 and thick red blood cells collected in a container B5 from the centrifugal bowl CB1 by reversing the pump P1 are separately collected as the preparation. Residual blood components are returned to a donor in a well known method.
