Abstract:
To provide a new receptor protein named as Apo-2 and associated with the apoptosis (programmed cell death) of animal cells, an associated peptide, nucleic acids encoding them, and a treating method of diseases associated with the protein.
There are provided the Apo-2 receptor polypeptide, an antibody against the Apo-2, a chimeric molecule of a heterologous amino acid with the Apo-2, genetic nucleic acids encoding them, further a host cell expressing them and a transgenic animal. The method of treating cancer by utilizing them is also provided.
