To provide an apoptosis-inducing peptide capable of selectively inducing the apoptosis of cells such as cancer cells and autoimmune T-cells, and further to provide a method for screening the peptide and an apoptosis-inducing agent containing the peptide.
This apoptosis-inducing peptide comprises one of 38 kinds of synthetic amino acid sequences, and can induce a characterizing form of the apoptosis to a target cell. The apoptosis inducing peptide contains the sequence, and composed of 6-9 continuous amino acid residues. The method for screening the apoptosis-inducing peptide comprises (a) bringing a target cell into contact with at least one kind of a peptide bead, and (b) detecting the presence or absence of the apoptosis in the target cell obtained in the step (a). The apoptosis-inducing peptide obtained by the method is also provided. The method for producing the apoptosis-inducing agent comprises joining the apoptosis inducing peptide with a pharmacologically acceptable insoluble carrier. The apoptosis inducing agent is also provided.
