Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apoptosis inhibitor which is useful as a treating agent for Alzheimer's disease, parkinsonism, schizophrenia, senile neurosis, cerebellar degeneration, hepatolenticular degeneration, Down syndrome and retinal pigmentary degeneration, containing powdered Chinese medicines of Angelica acutiloba and Peonia albiflora. SOLUTION: This apoptosis inhibitor is prepared by formulating at least one of herbs selected from Angelica acutiloba, Peonia albiflora, Alismatis rhizoma, Poria cocos, Atractylodes lanceae rhizoma and Cnidii Rhizo, Preferably 2-5 pts.wt. of Angelica acutiloba, 3-8 pts.wt. of Peonia albiflora, 2-8 pts.wt. of Alismatis rhizoma, 2-6 pts.wt. of Poria cocos, 2-6 pts.wt. of Atractylodes lanceae rhizoma and 2-5 pts.wt. of Cnidii rhizoma.
