To provide an apparatus for arranging loops in a machine for carrying out a retaining treatment of a fabric by hanging the fabric in the interior of a chamber having a prescribed largeness to form the loops, to diffuse and fix the dyestuff attached on the surface of a dyed fabric, and to dry the fabric, and capable of rapidly treating the fabric by increasing the number of the loops.

This apparatus has hanging bars 12 attached at a prescribed interval to a conveyer chain circulating in a chamber, and a cam 23 for bending links 21 of the conveyer chain 11 moving along a guide 17 separated from a sprocket 14a positioned at the vicinity of the guide 17 at the entrance side. The conveyer chain 11 pivotally supports axis pins 19 having the hanging bars 12, and supporting rollers 20 having the guide 17 turning on the same axis.
