Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the assembly of a mold, the take-out of a product, the shake-out of the mold and to obtain the cast product having good precision by opening/closing split molds having many product parts communicated with a feeder head part through a runner mechanically with an opening/closing machine.
CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 12 is connected with a fixing side mold holding block 9a at the fixed end and with a movable side mold holding block 9b at the movable end. At the time of opening the mold, the hydraulic cylinder 12 is extended and the movable mold holding block 9b connected with the movable end is shifted. At the time, a pinion gear 13 is fitted to the tip part of a shaft part in the hydraulic cylinder 12 so that the mold is not opened only in one side, and this pinion gear is advanced while engaging with a rack gear 14 to keep the speeds at the right and the left sides to the same degree. According to the shift of the mold connected with the movable side mold holding block 9b, a connecting plate 26 at both ends of the first mold is shifted to the full scale of a slot 24 and successively, the next mold is started to shift. The mold is shifted in order and stopped at the time of shifting in the full scale of the slot 24.
