In the sliding nozzle changing apparatus for changing upper nozzles and plate portions in a plurality of the sliding nozzle devices having the upper nozzles, which are mounted to the bottom portion of a molten metal reservoir and are inserted into at least the molten metal reservoir, and the plate portions, the sliding nozzle changing apparatus comprises nozzle changing mechanisms having nozzle changing sections for changing the upper nozzles, which nozzle changing sections are individually arranged on a common movable carriage for a plurality of the sliding nozzle devices, and cleaning sections for cleaning the mounting portions for mounting the upper nozzles of the molten metal reservoir, and the nozzle changing sections are configured so as to turn between the mounting and dismounting position of the upper nozzles and the changing positions of the upper nozzles in the state that the cleaning sections face to the sliding nozzle devices.
