Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage charging apparatus having a relatively simple constitution, made lightweight and small-sized and charging garbage to a rotary drum rapidly.
SOLUTION: A hopper 23, in which garbage can be charged, is provided in the lower part of a vehicle in the vicinity of the rotary drum mounted on the vehicle and the opening part 24a formed to the upper surface of a screw conveyor 24 is connected to the lower end of the hopper. The screw conveyor is provided so as to extend horizontally to feed garbage charged in the hopper. The suction port 26a of a centrifugal pump 26 is connected to the screw conveyor and the centrifugal pump sends up the garbage fed by the screw conveyor from a discharge port 26g by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of a plurality of the vanes 26d of the pump. An introducing port is formed to the end surface of the rotary drum at the center of rotation thereof and connected to the discharge port of the centrifugal pump by a duct 27. The duct guides the garbage sent up by the centrifugal pump to the introducing port.
