To provide an apparatus for coating a lubricant on wire rope, capable of coating the lubricant in a state in which the lubricant is thinly and uniformly coated on the surface of the wire rope.

The apparatus for coating the lubricant on the wire rope is equipped with a divided type apparatus body 22, a lubricant-jetting part 25, a lubricant-jetting chamber, a rotor chamber and a rotor. The divided type apparatus body 22 is outserted along the upper and lower direction of the wire rope 2, and has through holes 23a, b for passing the wire rope 2 at both the upper and lower terminals, and an opening part 24 at the side face. The lubricant-jetting part 25 is installed in the exterior of the apparatus body 22, and jets the lubricant through the opening part 24 to the wire rope 2 passing the interior of the apparatus body 22. The lubricant-jetting chamber has the opening part 24 and is formed by dividing the inside of the apparatus body 22. The rotor chambers are present at both the upper and lower sides of the lubricant-jetting chamber, and formed by dividing the inside of the apparatus body 22. The rotors are housed in the rotor chambers, rotate by using two axes of the wire rope 2 as center axes according to the relative movement of the wire rope 2 in the upper and lower direction, and form a cylindrical shape by being combined.
