Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a collection zone in the downstream of a pair of the front rollers of a draft device in such a style that the collected fiber strand can maintain the collected state until reaching a nipping point.
SOLUTION: This apparatus for collecting the fiber strand in the collection zone disposed in the downstream of a pair of the delivery rollers of the draft device is characterized in that the collection zone contains the following member: woven band-form transport belts for transporting the fiber stand over a stationary slidable surface having a suction slit substantially extended in the transport direction of the fiber strand, a slidable surface, and the suction slit, and a nip roller for pressing the fiber strand on the transport belts at a nip point to form the collection zone.
