Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a collection zone in the downstream of a pair of the front rollers of a draft device in such a style that the collected fiber strand can maintain the collected state until reaching a nipping point.
SOLUTION: This apparatus for collecting the fiber strand in the collection zone disposed in the downstream of a pair of the delivery rollers of the draft device is characterized in that the collection zone contains the following member: air-permeable transport belts for transporting the fiber stand over a stationary slidable surface having a suction slit substantially extended in the transport direction of the fiber strand, a slidable surface, and the suction slit, wherein a hollow profile is connected to a suction source, extended over a plurality of adjacent spinning positions, and forms the suction slits and the slidable surfaces at the adjacent spinning positions.
