Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality of a recorded signal on an HAMR medium.SOLUTION: A data recording device includes at least a laser deice, and may be composed of a heat assisted magnetic recording head connected with a controller. The heat assisted magnetic recording head may be positioned near first and second data bits stored respectively on adjacent recording mediums. When the first data bit has a magnetic polarity different from the second data bit, a first laser power may be applied by the laser device, and when the first and second data bits have the same magnetic polarity, a second laser power different from the first laser power may be applied by the laser device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
