Title:
APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUSLY MEASURING OXYGEN ACTIVITY IN MOLTEN SUBSTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3474015
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus which is simple in structure and can protect a solid electrolyte and stably measure for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: A shell body 11 consisting of a solid electrolyte dipped in a molten substance to be measured, a standard electrode 15 set inside the shell body for giving a predetermined oxygen activity, an external electrode 12 dipped in the molten substance, and a potential difference-measuring means for measuring a potential difference between the standard electrode and external electrode, are provided in this oxygen activity-measuring apparatus for measuring the oxygen activity in a molten substance. The external electrode consists of a protecting ring part 12a surrounding the outer peripheral face of the shell body and an opening part 12b through which a front end part of the shell body is exposed.
