PURPOSE: To enhance the life of a pressing belt of an apparatus for continuously pressing, decatizing and setting belt-like textile articles and to reduce the investment cost of such apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: The pressing belt 1 is introduced through a heated effect roller 4 and deflection rollers 2 and 3. The pressing belt 1 wraps around part of the circumference of the effect roller 4 and pressing force is acted on the textile articles 6 introduced between the pressing belt 1 and the effect roller 4 in this wrapping range. Since the necessary pressing force is acted on the textile articles 6, at least one of the effect roller 4 and the deflection rollers 2 and 3 is pressable to the pressing belt 1 by a tensing device 5.
