To provide an apparatus for controlling a force-feeding state and a method for controlling the force-feeding state in a dehydrator by which a sludge force-feeding time can be optimized and the lowering of sludge dehydration throughput can be suppressed.
The apparatus for controlling the force-feeding state in the dehydrator is equipped with: a force-feeding speed detection section 36 for detecting the force-feeding speed of the sludge forcibly fed in a filtration chamber 2 from a force-feeding pump 4; a dehydration treatment speed calculation section 42 for calculating sludge dehydration treatment speed in the filtration chamber 2; and a force-feeding state control section 22 for controlling a motion of the force-feeding pump 4 based on the force-feeding speed detected by the force-feeding speed detection section 36 and the dehydration treatment speed calculated by the dehydration treatment speed calculation section 42. The force-feeding state control section 22 stops the force-feeding of the sludge in the filtration chamber 2 when the sludge is forcibly fed in the filtration chamber 2 by the force-feeding pump 4 and it is determined that a speed difference between the force-feeding speed detected by the force-feeding speed detection section 36 and the dehydration treatment speed calculated by the dehydration treatment speed calculation section 42 is in a range from a preset speed difference lower limit which is smaller than zero to a preset speed difference upper limit which is larger than zero.
