PURPOSE: To simplify the complicate work for laying a signal line by automatically receiving and transporting a woven cloth roll by a transfer vehicle based on a call signal of a sensor placed at a position corresponding to the waiting position for the transfer of a cloth roll of each loom in a laterally arranged loom row.
CONSTITUTION: Plural looms Mij (i is 1 to m; j is 1 to n) are arranged in m rows and n lines. Sensors Si (i is 1 to m) composed of a light-projector Sa and a receptor Sb are placed in the lateral direction of the loom rows Mil, Mi2...Min in a state to commonly view the cloth roll transfer wait position of each loom. When a prescribed amount of woven fabric on a loom Mil is woven, the cloth roll is moved to the transfer waiting position with an auxiliary truck provided on said loom Mi1 and movable back and forth and the sensor Si detects the roll and transmits a call signal. A transfer vehicle c is moved to the position of the loom Mi1 by the call signal. The wiring of the sensor of each loom and between each loom and a transfer vehicle controlling apparatus become unnecessary by this process to simplify the complicate work for the laying of the signal line.
