Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus for culture, especially a rotating drum type apparatus for culture suitable for culturing a photosynthetic microorganism and/or a photosynthetic cell or a protoplast.

CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for culturing a microorganism and/or a cell, etc., a rotating culture vessel 1 having fixed connecting parts 2 in at least one end and a driving unit 4 for rotating this culture vessel 1 while holding the culture vessel 1 in the horizontal shaft direction are installed. A liquid inflow pipe 15 and an outflow pipe 16 and a gas inflow pipe 8 and an outflow pipe 8' and light emitters 7 are provided in the fixed connecting parts 2 to communicate them to the interior of the culture vessel.
