Abstract:
PURPOSE: To beautifully cut a towel fabric in a continuous length in a state of a boundary part in a pile part arranged on one straight line in the towel width direction and a side hem part without being distorted relatively to the pile part in the longitudinal direction of the towel.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus 2 for cutting is equipped with moving mechanisms 4 and 11 for moving a towel fabric 1 in a continuous length, a pile engaging mechanism 8 for engaging a boundary part of a pile part relatively to a boundary cutting part of the moving towel fabric 1 in a continuous length and thereby stopping the towel fabric 1 in the continuous length, a side hem nipping mechanism 7 for nipping side hem parts of the towel fabric 1 in the continuous length nearly at the same time as the engagement of the boundary part in the pile part with the pile engaging mechanism 8 and a cutting mechanism 10 for cutting the towel fabric 1 in the continuous length in a state of the side hem parts nipped with the side hem nipping mechanism 7 at a predetermined cutting position in a plain weave part.
