To provide an apparatus for dealing with level difference capable of guiding a movable body to a boarding base and blocking the backward movement of the movable body loaded on the boarding base by simple constitution.
The apparatus comprises the boarding base 1 on which a wheelchair can be loaded and which can be elevated and lowered, and a backward movement blocking means provided on the boarding base 1 for preventing the backward movement of the wheelchair loaded on the boarding base 1, and the wheelchair can be carried between the upper surface of a prescribed height position and the boarding base 1 by elevating the boarding base 1. The backward movement blocking means includes a movable plate 2 which is provided turnably on the end part of the boarding base 1, forms a wheelchair guiding member to the boarding base 1 when the boarding base 1 is held at the lowest position and forms a rising member for blocking the backward movement of the wheelchair on the boarding base 1 by the elevation of the boarding base 1 when the boarding base 1 is at a position elevated from the lowest position.
