Abstract:
To provide an apparatus for detecting a leakage current, which can determine the deterioration of an electric path more accurately than judge it with a general ground leakage current, at low cost with a very simple means.
The apparatus, such as a molded case circuit breaker, an earth leakage breaker, or a leakage relay, includes a means for detecting the ground leakage current of an electric path and detecting the leakage current having surpassed the specified magnitude. The apparatus is provided with a means which resets the specified magnitude, assuming the ground leakage current at bad insulation, on the basis of the magnitude of a zero-phase leakage current that is detected when the electric path is sound.
