Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparatively small-sized apparatus for detoxicating treatment with which detoxicating treatment of organic chlorine compounds can be performed without causing contamination of the organic chlorine compounds in exhaust gas and without producing dioxins.
SOLUTION: This detoxicating treatment apparatus for detoxicating a material containing the organic chlorine compounds is provided with: a heating part for gasification which gasifies the organic chlorine compounds in the material; a separation part for separating gaseous organic chlorine compounds gasified in the heating part for gasification and a residue of the material; a heating part for decomposition which decomposes the gaseous organic chlorine compounds separated by the separation part; and a discharge part for discharging exhaust gas from the heating part for decomposition. Preferably, gasification of the organic chlorine compounds is performed in a reductive atmosphere. Further, an indirect type rotary kiln can be adopted as the heating part for gasification.
