To provide an apparatus for efficiently discharging a thermally decomposed residue of a waste plastics from the bottom of a thermally decomposing tank and a method for discharging the residue.
In this apparatus, a vertical discharging part 10 equipped with a vertical discharging pipe 11 and a rotating feeder 12 coaxially arranged in the interior is extended from the bottom 3 of a thermally decomposing tank 2 to the lower direction and a horizontal discharge part 13 equipped with a horizontal discharging pipe 14 and a rotating feeder 15 coaxially arranged in the interior is extended from the lower part of the vertically discharging part 10 to horizontal direction. A tank 17 for housing the residue is arranged under a discharging part 16 formed on the lower side of the horizontal discharging pipe 14 in the extension part. Then, the residue after thermal decomposition in the thermal decomposition tank 2 is discharged from the vertical discharging part 10 through the horizontal discharging part 13 into the tank 17 for housing the residue.
