An apparatus 10 for displaying the amount of carbon-dioxide emission accumulates a fuel consumption ΔVf obtained from a vehicle power source 40, converts an accumulation value into the CO2 emission, and displays it on a display device 13. The display device 13 has an area D1 for displaying a long term CO2 emission accumulated for a long term, an area D2 for displaying a medium term CO2 emission accumulated for a medium term whose start time and end time can be set by a user through a reset switch 15, and an area D3 for displaying an average CO2 emission per unit travel distance for a medium term. Since the accumulation values for a plurality of the terms are displayed, the user can properly evaluate the CO2 emission, and can establish a measure for reducing the CO2 emission.
