When a float (21) is at an upper threshold of a range of movement of the float, an indication value of a fuel meter (4) is reduced according to the quantity of fuel consumed. When the float (21) is at a position below a specified intermediate level below the upper threshold of the range of movement of the float, an indication value of the fuel meter (4) is displayed according to the position of the float (21). When the float (21) is at a position below the upper threshold of the range of movement of the float and at a position of the specified intermediate level or above, an indication value of the fuel meter (4) according to the position of the float (21) is corrected on the basis of the indication value of the fuel meter (4) when the float (4) is at the position below the upper threshold of the range of movement of the float in such a way as to secure approximate linearity of indication values and displayed.
