PURPOSE: To enable operation more adequately coping with a puncture, by display a runnable distance by a punctured tire when the puncture is being generated.
CONSTITUTION: The presence of a puncture is judged on the basis of the tire pressure data from a tire pressure detector 20 by a computer 20 and each tire pressure and the generation of the puncture are displayed on CRT 40. The number of pulse signals at every definite running distance of a distance sensor 10 are counted by the computer 30 to determine a running distance and a speed is determined from the measurement of the output frequency or cycle of the sensor 10. The relation of a runnable distance to a running speed from the point of time of the puncture is preset to the computer 30 on the basis of the performance and characteristics of the tire. On the basis of said relation, the runnable distance corresponding to each speed at the present point of time is calculated and displayed and successively renewed at every definite time. By this method, information for adequately coping with the generation of the puncture can be provided to a driver.
