Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable drying of a bonding agent jutting out of a joining face, in a short time and with excellent efficiency.
SOLUTION: A pressed finger joint material 3 is sent, being spaced close, onto a conveyance floor of a conveyor constituted of a chain 12 extending in the direction of conveyance and fitted with pawls 13 at prescribed intervals, and the conveyor is operated intermittently. In a drying zone wherein heaters 28 and 29 are disposed above and below, the heater 28 disposed on the upper side is lowered to be in proximity to a joining face of the finger joint material 3 and heats this joining face, jointly with the heater 29 disposed in proximity on the lower side. Thereby a bonding agent jutting out of the joining face is dried in a short time and the finger joint materials 3 being manufactured are prevented from sticking to each other even when they are stacked as they are.
