Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for electric stimulation capable of facilitating the cleaning after operations without requiring an installation work on a floor surface and disturbing the operations of an operator.

CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for electric stimulation of a carcass comprises an elevated rail 1 arranged between an anesthetic device 2 of a slaughtering treatment line and an eviscerating operation bay 4, a trolley member 6 for conveying a carcass 5, suspended from the elevated rail and anesthetized by the anesthetic device through a hanger 7 along the elevated rail, supporting arms 30 fixedly hung from the elevated rail 1 of the operation bay X in a section for passing the trolley member therethrough, a barlike electrode unit 9, secured to the supporting arms and separated from the floor surface F and a low-voltage pulse generator 12, connected through plural electric wires to the electrode unit and the elevated rail and capable of applying at least two kinds of electric pulses into the body of the carcass.
