Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute an embedding process of an electronic watermark which is made difficult to recognize based on the motion information of motion images in electronic watermark embedding.
SOLUTION: Motion detection on an inputted timely continuous digital video signal is conducted by using a frame correlation. Based on the detected motion information, when an image is moving at such a speed that human eyes cannot recognize a still pattern, the electronic watermark is kept still, and when the image is moving at such a speed that human eyes can recognize a still pattern, the electronic watermark is also moved following the image. Thereby, the electronic watermark can be superimposed on the inputted digital video signal highly efficiently by adaptively reducing the calculation quantity.
