Abstract:
To obtain a large amount of high-purity nucleic acids by an automated apparatus.
A silica gel extraction method using a tubular extraction column 11 containing a silica gel made into a filmy state is utilized as a nucleic acid extraction method from a living body specimen. An enzyme-treated reaction solution is retained on the top of a silica gel membrane 14 and a discharge opening 15 is made in a negative pressure so that the reaction solution is passed through the silica gel membrane and the nucleic acid is adsorbed on the silica gel and collected.
