Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable the amount of a fiber material passing through a clearance between a taking-in roller and a taking-in container to be changed, and to enable the fiber material to be nipped more precisely in an apparatus for feeding the fiber such as cotton and chemical fiber in a lump state to a processing machine such as a card, a combing machine and a clearer.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus has a fiber-storing device having a taking-in container 13, and communicated to a taking-in device, e.g. a taking-in roller 2 rotating at a low speed, and an opening device for taking out a fiber material from the taking-in device and releasing the material to a feed cylinder extended from an opening roller 3. The taking-in roller 2 is pivotally supported (15a) so as to be freely movable and so as to change the amount of the fiber material passing through the clearance 12a, and at least one spring 14a urging the taking-in roller 2 to a fixedly arranged taking-in container 13 is installed.
