To provide an apparatus for feeding a molten metal which can melt a required quantity of a casting material in accordance with the casting cycle of a casting machine, and successively feed it to a casting machine.
The interior of a melting device 2 is divided into a feeding station 21, a pre-heating station 22, a melting station 23 and a preparatory station 24, each station being disposed in order, spaced 90° apart about the center axis 9. The top of the melting device 2 is covered with a circular support plate 30, wherein four openings 31-34 are formed corresponding to the respective stations. Each melting vessel 4 is received in the openings 31-34. The support plate 30 is lifted and rotated, so that each melting vessel 4 is moved to adjacent stations. After a casting material is molten, the melting vessel 4 is taken out of the melting station 23 by means of a robot 3, then the molten metal in the melting vessel 4 is poured into an injection sleeve 10.
