Abstract:
To provide a notch formation apparatus for a thin film web and a manufacturing method of a notched thin film web, in which a notch depth of a thin film web can be kept with high precision.SOLUTION: Provided is a notch formation apparatus 1 for a thin film web which cuts a transferred thin film web 10 between a bearing material 3 and a cutter 5. The apparatus includes an actuator 6 for keeping a clearance between the bearing material 3 and the cutter 5 at a predetermined distance, and cuts a part of the thin film web 10 in a thickness direction of the thin film web 10, by abutting the thin film web 10 against a blade part of the cutter 5, while making the thin film web 10 slide along one section of an outer peripheral surface of the bearing material 3. By utilizing the actuator 6 in adjusting the clearance between the bearing material 3 and the cutter 5, the clearance can be easily maintained with precision. By sliding the thin film web 10 along one section of the outer peripheral surface of the bearing material 3, a position of the thin film web 10 is accurately determined, and thereby, precision of a notch depth of the cutter 5 is improved and the precision is stabilized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
