The apparatus generates a mounting layout display 20 which is an image displaying an elevation drawing 22 in which various plate material components are sorted and mounted on a mounting board having a plurality of sorts of mounting portions, a plate material component information display 23 and a correlation display 24. The apparatus includes a mounting board information storage means 31, a carried destination information storage means 32 and a plate material component source information storage means 33. Further, the apparatus is also provided with a means 34 for generating the mounting layout display 20 from mounting board shape information F1, carried destination information F3 and plate material source information F2.
