PURPOSE: To provide an oil and fat heating apparatus having a specific construction to prevent the direct and intensive application of microwave to a flow pipe for passing oil and fat and effect the diffused reflection of microwave and capable of quickly and uniformly heating oil and fat in the flow pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Oil and fat in a flow pipe 2 extending through a metallic vessel 5 are heated with microwave. The metallic vessel 5 of the oil and fat heating apparatus has a square box form. A microwave introducing port 6 is opened in such a manner as to introduce microwave in the direction parallel to the flow pipe 2. The microwave introduced into the metallic vessel 5 is reflected and scattered on the inner surface of the metallic vessel having square box form without causing direct and intense application of the microwave to the flow pipe 2. The uniformity of heating is further improved by placing a stirring fan 8 in the metallic vessel 5 and stirring and diffusing the microwave.
