Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus for inspecting surface shape of a convex lens, which can simply judges whether the surface shape of the lens is proper or not.
CONSTITUTION: A convex lens 18, which is an object under inspection, is arranged in front of a light source 12. A light shielding plate 16, wherein a specified opening part is formed, is arranged in front of the light source 12 at the approximately rear focal-point position of the convex lens 18. The image of the opening part 16a of the light shielding plate 16 is projected on a projection screen 22, which is arranged at the front part. The amount of the light of the projected light distributing pattern is detected with a photodiode 24, which is the amount-of-light detecting means. The detected data V are compared with the reference data Vo of the photodiode 24 when a convex lens model having the proper surface shape is mounted. Thus, the adequacy of the surface shape of the convex lens 18 is judged.
