PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus to resolve a limited absorption rate and absorption level of medicine and extreme change in pH of aqueous media contacting a vital integument in iontophoresis.
CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for iontophoresis which has a pair of electrode means 1 and 2 to be applied to a vital integument at an interval, the pair of the electrode means 1 and 2 both include aqueous media 12 and 22 to keep electrodes in electric contact with the surface of the vital integument while a medicine is contained in the aqueous media to cause absorption into an organism through the vital integument. A voltage adjusting means 4 is included to switch positive and negative positions of a voltage to be applied between both the electrodes alternately.
