PURPOSE: To make joint lines straight, and enable an accurate joint to be executed by suction-fixing a sheet-shaped material mounted on a table, and cutting it by running cutting means, and then running laminate means along guide rails while supplying an adhesive tape.

CONSTITUTION: After the operator superimposes two sheet-shaped materials 1A, 1a, they are mounted on a table so that the width direction of the sheet- shaped materials is made to align with the longitudinal direction of the table 2. And, the sheet-shaped materials are suction-fixed on the table by the vacuum drawing of a suction pipe 9. In the next place, as the pressurized air is supplied to an air cylinder 18, a pressing pad 10 falls on the table so as to press the joint part thereof. And then, cutting means transverse to the left along guide rails 32a, 32b, and the sheet-shaped materials are cut in order to be given a cut line C. After restoring the cutting means, an adhesive tape S is taken out of the pressing roller 13 of laminate means 12, the end part thereof is adhered onto the outside table of cut line C of the sheet-shaped materials. Thereafter, the laminate means 12 is made to run to the right along the guide rails 32a, 32b, thus adhering the adhesive tape S onto the cut line C.
